Mü18 ‘Meßkrähe’ (1942) |

This project was cinsidered by the RLM as a "kriegswichtiges Project" as a research
aircraft.. The Mü18 should be hung under a towplane for measuring different
wingprofiles in undisturbed airflow. It was possible to change the angel
of attack and measure the pressuresplit over the profile. The wing could
be turned arund it´s fixing point in the fuselage. The Akaflieg München made
the fuselage,Akaflieg Chemnitz (Danzig) and Göttingen made different wingprofiles.
The testflights were positiv, but the it was soon regareded as unimportant
for the war effort. The testflights were cancelled . |
