In 1922, Claude Dornier developed from the flying boat Do.A Libelle II  a light sport aircraft, Dornier Spatz. It differed from the Libelle with elongated wings, slightly modified fuselage structure , the change  of the fuselage and with an  engine Bristol Lucifer.
