Three aircraft from "Versuchsbau Hirth G.m.b.H." participated in the 1925 Deutschen Rundflug a 20-hp monoplane I, and a 40-hp monoplane II and III. However, Hellmuth Hirth discontinued the experiments in 1928/1929. The city of Böblingen purchased the building and leased it to Hanns Klemm.
