A large-scale aircraft and aircraft engine repair shop, which began operations in the fall of 1937. Repairs and major overhauls were carried out in the airframe construction department, from the He 72, Hee 45/46, and W 34 to the Ju 52, Ju 87/88, and Do 17/217. The engine shop overhauled the corresponding engine models from the Sh 14 to the BMW 801. The entire factory was headed by Director Wiemer, and the first head of construction supervision (BAL) was Dipl.-Ing. Harms Sprekel.
When the Focke-Wulf branch in Marienburg was severely hit by an American daylight raid in the summer of 1944, the Fw 190 was also added to the factory program. In August 1944, the bombing freeze came into effect. All Do 217s stored at the factory were immediately scrapped, and other twin-engine aircraft were grounded due to fuel shortages. In January 1945, the factory, which had suffered no bomb damage, had to be closed down.
