Type Werk.Nr Registration History
In 1928-29, Dr. August Kupper, together with Dipl. Ing. Kennel, designed the high-wing flying glider "Uhu" at the Friedberg Polytechnic in Hesse.
The aircraft had a wingspan of 17.1 meters and was controlled by outboard elevons and endplate rudder.
The "Uhu" did not offer adequate flight characteristics. Later, Kupper attempted to convert the aircraft into a motor glider by slightly sweeping the wing back and installing a small engine. Here, too, the characteristics remained unsatisfactory.
