Summary storyDuring the winter of 1926-1927, Max Kegel installed an engine on his Kegel I. The engine cover served as an advertising medium for the automobile firm DKW. The device is painted blue, perhaps to hide the multiple repairs!
From May 1 to 17, 1927, Kegel took part in the 3rd Rossiten contest with his motorglider.
