Type Werk.Nr Registration History
Hs 121b = Hs 125 V1 2 D-EKAN
Hs 125 V2 3 D-IEHA
At the end of the spring of 1934, just three months after the failure to test the Hs.121a, Nikolaus launched the new Hs.125 with amazing speed, which was distinguished by a different layout - a low-wing aircraft instead of a strut "gull". As a result, by the time indicated by the air commissariat, the second of the three ordered Hs.121s was already completed in Johannishtal as Hs.125a, and the conversion of the third Hs.125b was already ending.

Hs.125 retained 90% of the design of its predecessor, but the wing has completely changed. It received wire braces from the fuselage and V-shaped struts to the landing gear. The engine was preserved As-10С, it was planned to install one MG-17 machine gun. The very first flights showed that the shortcomings of the predecessor were overcome. The second experimental Hs.125b (D-EKAN) practically did not differ from the first, with the exception of minor changes in the hood - separate ports were cut for the exhaust pipes.

Flight tests of two experimental aircraft were carried out in Johannishtal, Adlershef and Rechlin in early 1935, but the Fw.56 "Shtesser" was chosen, and the Hs.125 was later used as a sports aircraft.
Henschel-Übungselositzer "Hs 125".
The test model, which is fully aerobatic, is designed as a braced low-wing aircraft in all-metal construction.
Wing towards the fuselage tapered in profile thickness, after the landing gear and fuselage upper part supported by two profile wires each. Buoyancy tension
doubled. The power of the beam is provided by a double profile wire between the suspension struts of the chassis. Static structure similar to that of the last Schneiderpokal racing aircraft or newer American sports and racing machines. Part of the surface has fabric covering. Ailerons in metal, with torsion nose. Landing flap between fuselage and ailerons, actuated by worm gears. trim surfaces on both ailerons.
Hull in light alloy shell construction, stiffened with longitudinal profiles and frames. The front part of the fuselage, including the engine stem,
is easily accessible through removable fairing plates. Driver's seat open, windshield.
Tail clamped. Fins meta II planked, rudders fabric-covered. On the elevator trim surface to compensate for the annoyance.
Chassis consists of two struts braced backwards. part of the wing structure. Wheels and struts streamlined. Tail wheel or grinding runner as
desired.

sheet steel in front of it.
Wingspan 10 m, length 7.3 m, height 2.3 m, area 14 m2, empty weight 695 kg, flying weight 975 kg, wing load 70 kg/m2, power load 4.9 kg/hp,
