The idea of creating a torpedo bomber came to Deutsche Verkehrsfliegerschule GmbH (DVS) back in the late 20s. And to embody it in life succeeded only in the early 30s. In September 1932, one of the float copies of Ju.52/1m (serial number 4004, registration D-2317) was taken to the A.B. Flygindustri in Limhamn (Sweden).
After the suspension of the torpedo holder, the aircraft was designated K.45. Then, from Swedish registration number SE-ADM it was returned to the DVS branch in Travemünde, where it passed the drop tests torpedoes. Based on the results of the tests, it was concluded that the K.45 was of little use as a torpedo bomber due to its low flight speed
After that, the aircraft was returned to the German registration number D-2317 (from 1934 - D-UBES), and it began to be used in Luftdienst GmbH as a towing vehicle targets.
